Our Reader Covers are designed to offer a high level of protection, by introducing an extra physical barrier, mitigating damage by impact, to the security proximity reader, while still allowing RF signals to pass through the cover, with minimal degradation.
Screw holes can be plugged with anti-tamper plugs, making removal difficult.
All sides are tapered, reducing ligature attachment.
The Vandal Resistant Reader Cover meets the Australasian Health Facility Guidelines ** for Anti-ligature

Reader Cover Specifications
Fit a standard Single Gang wall plate
Securely fasten to the wall or flat surface by 4 perimeter mounting holes
4 x 25mm PH2 philips counter sink, 304 Stainless Steel screws (included), and 4 x 25mm T10 Torx, 304 Stainless Steel Screws (included)
4 x  Anti tamper screw cover plugs inserts (included)
Securely fasten the Reader Cover to the card reader, by way of the bottom screw mount 1 x 25mm T10 Torx, 304 Stainless Steel Screw (included) 
1 x T10 Torx 1/4" Hex Bit (iIncluded in each box of 10)

Installation Instructions
1. Secure the Proximity Card Reader to the wall (C clip or single gang mount) using the HID® Signo™ rear mounting plate.
Ensure the cable is passed through the center hole and terminated
2. Loosely mount the Proximity Reader onto the mounting plate, do not use the bottom fastening screw at this stage.
3. Place the Reader Cover over the Proximity Reader and mark out the 4 mounting holes onto the wall surface. Remove the
cover.
4. Drill 5-6mm holes and insert a 5-6mm wall plug in each wall surface hole.
5. Place the Card Reader Cover over the Proximity Reader, aligning the 4 mounting holes with the wall plugs.
6. Use screws provided to securely mount the Card Reader Cover to the wall.
7. Insert and cover the mounting holes with the anti-tamper plugs. Gently tap them into place to cover the 4 mounting
screws.
Please note that the anti-tamper plugs will not fit and cannot be used when using the other screws.
Removing the anti-tamper plugs once installed, may cause damage to the anti-tamper plugs, rendering them un-reusable.
Replacements anti-tamper plugs can be ordered separately (Part Number RC-Plug)
8. Use the 1 x 25mm T10 Torx screw provided to mount the Card Reader Cover to the Proximity Reader via the bottom hole.
